NEW ACTION OF MWBU ’’NEZAVISNOST’’

SAFE JOB, GOOD JOB

Belgrade, March 7, 2007
At the beginning of 2007 employees' injuries and fatalities at the workplace have increased, and all of us responsible for employees' protection and safety must announce the highest level of alarm. We cannot bring back those who lost their lives, but it is at least honest to reconsider the responsibility of all of us individually, who had to perform the activities and take actions in order that these accidents wouldn't happen. The MWBU ''Nezavisnost'' will take a comprehensive and unified action at the level of Serbia, that everyone being responsible for job safety in any way, has to assume responsibility and join our action: ''Safe job - good job''.

COMMENT: WHEN THE LAMBS CALM DOWN ...

THEY FORGOT THE PEOPLE AND PROMISES THEY MADE

Belgrade, March 7, 2007.
The first political promise – ‘’fight against crime’’. How this promise was kept one could have seen best when several hundred policemen, armed to the teeth, were sent very late at night to establish order among peaceful farmers of Macva. These same farmers served, until yesterday, to that political elite, as a promotional ambient in an expensive and long-lasting election campaign. When the purchase price had to be increased for the same small animals and bovine cattle, our political elite reached for clubs instead of money. The second promise –‘’people’s interests – before policy’’. How this promise was kept, one could establish by the fact that the Government hasn’t still been formed and no one knows whether and when it would be formed. That ministers’ “armchairs” are more important than workers, peasants and other social layers, it can be established by the fact how obstinately political parties represent their personnel (ruler’s) policy.
