AD ‘’14. OKTOBAR’’ KRUSEVAC
84th ANNIVERSARY OF OUR ENGINEERING INDUSTRY’S GIANT

The 84th Anniversary of the Machine and Component Industry ‘’14. Oktobar’’ A.D. was celebrated in Krusevac on October 12, 2007. A small group of MWBU members was present at the celebration, which has been informed about the situation in the MCI ‘’14. Oktobar’’, being in the privatization phase.

As we have been informed by the General Director of this company, Zoran Radmanovac, calling for tenders for sale of the entire company is expected at the end of the month. The tender will last for six months, and in the event that a strategic partner is not found, the second tenders will be invited within 3 months. A full agreement was reached with Aleksandar Ljubic, director of Tenders Center in the Privatization Agency. A thing with adverse effect was that a meeting was held at the end of July, scheduled by the director A. Ljubic, in which the following people participated: G.D. and his closest associates, representatives of the Privatization Agency and privatization consultant ‘’Deloitte’’, in which the President of the Autonomous Trade Union participated while our representatives did not.

- ‘’Also, talks were conducted with the director Radmanovac about arrears with payment to MWBU, and a promise was made that everything would be settled in the next seven days’’, said B. Tomasevic, Vice-President of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’.
