GOOD NEWS FROM BACKA




Subotica, August 9, 2007
Good news come to us from Backa, more precisely, from “Sigma” Subotica, where Slobodan Mijatovic, President of “Nezavisnost” Union of ‘’Sigma”, returned to work after 3 years and 10 months, based on the court decision. Regular elections were organized in “Sigma” and Zarko Lapcevic was elected Trade Union President.

Trade Union began its activities after seven years from the registration of trade union “Nezavisnost-Bratstvo” Subotica, and Mirko Ivankovic was elected President at the Electoral Conference. It is expected that a meeting will be agreed on between the MWBU “Nezavisnost” and director of “Bratstvo” Subotica.

According to previous announcements, the “Nezavisnost” Union of ATB “Sever” started negotiations concerning the labor cost for the period July – December 2007. We expect that the employer will show understanding of low salaries paid out in ATB “Sever” and that the production and work results are constantly improving, and the final result would be an increase of employee salaries.
