AN OPEN LETTER TO THE MANAGEMENT OF ‘’CIMOS’’ KIKINDA FOUNDRY
DOES TRUTH HAVE A PRICE ?
Kikinda, March 13, 2007
-‘’My suspicion about your ‘’good intentions concerning job safety’’ in ‘’Cimos’’ Kikinda Foundry has been stirred up by your indecisiveness to find out the truth in connection with the death of your worker Nedeljko Orozovic. In this particular case, this truth has its equivalent expressed in Din. 120.000,00 that should be paid out to an expert of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy of Belgrade. Your refusal and lack of interest in finding out the actual cause of accident will not mean preventing the punishment of responsible persons for the death of Nedeljko Orozovic.
It would be polite and civilized that ‘’Cimos’’ paid the expert’s expenses, and in this way we would enable preventing a new accident due to the same cause which has brought about the worker’s death. Don’t just keep saying that you care and take actions for a better life in the factory, but you should pay the expert’s expenses and thereby confirm that human life has no price, or maybe it has?! – it is said in the letter sent by Dragan Matic, President of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’.
