Smederevska Palanka, February 27, 2007
‘’Communication with trade unions, understanding, intentions and business activities of the majority owner of ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’, are a base for economic recovery and prosperity of the company. The mutual agreements and consideration of economic laws must be crucial for the plans and future of ‘’Šinska vozila’’, said Anton Gemel, General Director of ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’, to the representatives of the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, on the occasion of their visit to the factory.
Dragan Matic, President of the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ and Mileta Gujanicic, Vice-President of the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ (and Regional Commissary for Podunavlje-Branicevo Region), presented the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ and its activities to the new owner of ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’. It was encouraging that new business deals were concluded, new technology introduced, utilization of the manufacturing capacities increased, and the activities concerning the retraining of employees for required and more attractive occupations were enhanced.
The first group of 50 workers of ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’ was sent to the Welding Institute where they would get the Certificates, and another 100 workers will be retrained soon. The freight and passenger car programs will be implemented in parallel in ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’, first of all, intended for the EU market. Also, the car transport wagon program is in the development phase. The director Anton Gemel pointed out a favorable professional and skills structure of employees, so, in addition to the Social Program questionnaire, a new employment was possible, what is very important for trade unions. A visit to Trnava in Slovakia has been planned, where the representatives of ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’ Management and representatives of Trade Union Leadership would have an opportunity to be informed about the operations of a company similar to ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’.
The letter content has been also discussed, in which the Management stated its intention to terminate the Collective Agreement with the Employer, which was comprised by the documentation prepared for the auction sale of ‘’Goša Šinska vozila’’. An agreement has been reached that all statutory provisions should be observed in this case and that the social dialogue has to be used in all the situations when there exist different positions between the trade union and the executive management. The trade union pleads for enhancing the work and safety discipline and that they have to be regulated by the law.
The representatives of the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ are convinced that the future in cooperation with the executive management is certain, and that the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ will give its contribution to this cooperation with mutual respect on even terms.
