THE ‘’NEZAVISNOST’’ TRADE UNION OF ‘’RTB’’ BOR REMINDS THAT THE TERM FOR SIGNING THE PURCHASE AND SALES CONTRACT EXPIRES IN SEVEN DAYS
URGENT APPEAL TO THE PRIVATIZATION AGENCY

Bor, February 26, 2007. The “Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union of ‘’RTB’’ Bor, having in mind that the term for signing the Purchase and Sales Contract with Rumanian company ‘’CUPROM SA’’ expires in seven working days, sent an urgent letter to the Privatization Agency of the Republic of Serbia.

In the letter sent to the Director of the Privatization Agency, it is said, inter alia:
-“Dear Mr. Galic, the ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union considers that, concerning the continuation of negotiations on the ‘’Supplementary Social Program’’, with ‘’CUPROM SA’’ Rumania, discontinued on February 14, 2007, on insisting of the Autonomous Trade Union of ‘’RTB’’ Bor, they bring about additional concern with employees requesting the answer: ‘’What is going to happen now?” At the same time, the employees request that they must not be a medium between someone else’s interests, and finally a “collateral damage”, if the “RTB” Bor’s privatization process is discontinued.

We think that the Privatization Agency is not a place for presenting demands not having any reference with the social program, what happened to be the case on January 31 and February 14 this year, and that this mustn’t be the reason for discontinuance of the negotiations any longer. In this way, we state the opinion of a majority of employees being aware that their interests are protected by 17 items of the “Supplementary Social Program”.

Regarding that the time expires and that only seven working days remain until the deadline for signing the Purchase and Sales Contract, we demand:

1.that you organize urgently the continuation of the negotiations with “CUPROM SA” Rumania,
2.that only the Trade Union wishing to negotiate and knowing how to conduct the negotiations, should take part in them, and
3.that the “Supplementary Social Program” is verified till the extended term, it is said at the end of the letter, sent on behalf of the “Nezavisnost” Union of “RTB” Bor by its representative Rudolf Navijalic.
