THE ’’NEZAVISNOST’’ UNION OF ''RTB'' BOR: ’’MASKS TAKEN OFF’’
THE NEGOTIATIONS WITH ’’CUPROM’’ ARE TO BE CONTINUED
Bor, February 20, 2007. The ''Nezavisnost'' Trade Union of ''RTB'' Bor sent a letter to the Privatization Agency of the Republic of Serbia on February 16, 2007, in which it requested that the negotiations and initiated privatization process with the Rumanian company ''CUPROM'' should be continued.
In this letter, the ''Nezavisnost'' Trade Union of ''RTB'' Bor appeals to Vladimir Galic, director of the Privatization Agency of the Republic of Serbia: - ''Dear Sir, we agree with you that seriousness, responsibility and constructive position are necessary in the negotiations with ''CUPROM SA'', Rumania, in connection with an ''Additional Social Program''. The ''Nezavisnost'' Trade Union showed this on January 31, 2007 and February 14, 2007. Now, we are ready to negotiate and make an ''Additional Social Program'' with ''CUPROM SA'', Rumania at any time. There are no moot points for us in the Social Program and we think that it can and must be made at the next meeting. For this reason we were surprised by the fact that you lumped us together with the Autonomous Trade Union. You should know who has been obstructing the privatization process all the time by thinking up some new strategy, as well as obstructing work of the Tender Commission. That isn't the ''Nezavisnost'' Trade Union. We showed our good will by giving the consent to a member of the Tender Commission from the Autonomous Trade Union, although it is, we must say, unethical that someone who doesn't want privatization and does everything to overturn the tender, takes part in work of the Tender Commission. Today's non-cooperation of the Autonomous Trade Union is also aimed at toppling the tender.
We understand and share with you the concern for continuation of a successful privatization process. We won't make much progress only by pointing out seriousness, responsibility and constructive position. We think that now when all ''masks are taken off'', one should make possible the negotiations for the side wishing to negotiate. We don't see any good reason for postponement of the negotiations with CUPROM. We expect from you, as a director of the competent authority for ''RTB'' privatization, to take all necessary measures within your competence and not allow that the privatization process is brought in question'', it is said at the end of the letter of Rudolf Navijalic, President of the ''Nezavisnost'' Trade Union of ''RTB'' Bor.
