NEGOTIATIONS FOR HIGHER PAYS

By analyzing the current business situation in the company, the ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union of ATB ‘’SEVER’’ has decided to enable employees an increase of their pays by 3% in the period July-December through Annex to the Collective Agreement.

During the months of May, June, July and August there was no full employment, therefore, the production results were unsatisfactory. The pay increase by 3% meant that earnings would be also increased on the basis of the percentages of living cost increase index for 2008. The amount of vacation allowance for 2009 has been determined, and it is now RSD 24.000,00 in net amount, i.e. 20% more than in 2008, and it will be paid out in 12 installments as from December pay in 2008.

The ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Union of ATB ‘’Sever’’ made an agreement with the Employer, so that he would not give notices of dismissal to employees, based on surplus manpower, until December 31 2008. The Employer will present business plans for 2009 to representative trade unions in October. A good practice of negotiations and supporting social dialogue in ATB ”Sever’’ continues, and we believe that through extended negotiations employee standard of living and earnings will be improved to a higher extent.
