PRIVATIZATION AS A SOLUTION AND PERSPECTIVE AND NOT LOSING JOBS AND DEPRIVING OF RIGHTS
JOINT APPEARANCE OF TRADE UNIONS

The representatives of three representative trade unions of AD ‘’Specijalna vozila’’, Nis, conducted talks, on July 4 2008, with representatives of the Department for privatization monitoring and carrying out, Privatization Agency, in connection with the current situation in the post-privatization period in AD ‘’Specijalna vozila’’ (Special Vehicles). The Monitoring Department reviewed the Sales Contract on June 9 2008 and sent the Report to trade unions in AD ‘’Specijalna vozila’’.

Trade Union representatives stated their viewpoints concerning the non-observance of Sales Contract, especially stressing that the customer didn’t carry out the basic production program of AD ‘’Specijalna vozila’’ and that payment of minimum wages was not in compliance with the provisions of the applicable C.A. with the Employer, which is an integral part of the Sales Contract.

A proposal made by a representative of the Monitoring Department to unionists was to appeal in writing to the General Director, Diana Livingston, with the request that a meeting should be scheduled at which trade union’s stands and opinion of the current problems in AD ‘’Specijalna vozila’’ would be stated, in order to find a solution to these problems.
