UNIONIST ORGANIZERS OF SUMADIJA-POMORAVLJE REGION STARTED OPENING NEW TRUSTEE OFFICES OF MWBU ‘’NEZAVISNOST’’
TRUST PLACED IN MWBU ‘’NEZAVISNOST’’

In Sumadija-Pomoravlje Region our trade union opened four new trustee offices and 300 new members joined our union in a period of two months.
The activities conducted by the Regional Trustee Office, relating to protest and strike of employees of ‘’Tehnika Tankosic’’ had effect even in other privatized sections of ‘’Filip Kljajic’’. The requests for admission to our trade union were submitted by workers of the following companies: ‘’TSS Metal Industry’’ and ‘’Filip Kljajic Metal Industry DOO’’. Their requests for trade union registration were sent to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and colleagues of our future trustee offices were involved in the activities of the Regional Coordinating Committee.
The request for admission to our trade union was also submitted by colleagues of ‘’NTU-Maribor’’. The negotiations concerning the transfer of trade union trustee office from ‘’Kovacnica’’ to ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Union ended successfully.
Employees of ‘’Livnica Cuprija’’ took the initiative for re-initiating the activities of ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Union in this company, and a joint meeting with interested colleagues was agreed to this end.
It should be noted that syndicalism in our country, in a difficult period of privatization and transition, has crucial importance for employees. The ‘’key’’ of its efficiency is in good knowledge of unionist rights and the courage and skill that the idea and spirit of these rights are transferred to employees.
