‘’NEZAVISNOST’’ TRADE UNION – CAR COMPANY ‘’RADE KONCAR’’ – BELGRADE, NEW MEMBER OF MWBU ‘’NEZAVISNOST’’
WELCOME FOR ‘’NEZAVISNOST’’

Belgrade, May 16 2008
The visit of the President of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, Dragan Matic and Regional Trustee of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ for Belgrade, M. Gvozdenovic, to newly established Trustee Office of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ in the Car Company ‘’Rade Koncar’’, was used for conducting talks with the director, Pavle Tulovic, who has been managing this Company successfully for 12 years already. There is a signed C.A. with the Employer in this Company, as well as an executed Collective Agreement on Job Safety and Industrial Hygiene. One hundred and fifteen workers and average pay amounting to RSD 28.000,00 are not final goals of this Company, being in majority ownership of employees organized in a closed-type joint stock company and thereby they protected their interests.

As the director Tulovic says: ‘’Trade Union is welcome if it performs its activities to the interest of employees and the Company, and observes the statutory regulations.”

The ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union will organize Trade Union’s Electoral Conference, elect the Leadership and commence operations by the end of May. At this time, a Notice of trade union registration arrived from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, therefore, the ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union of Joint Stock Company ‘’Rade Koncar’’ fulfills the conditions for representation, which means that more than 15% of the total number of employees joined our Union.

We would like to remind the members of ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union and employees that the General Collective Agreement was signed on April 29 2008 and that one of the signatories of such an important Act for Serbian workers was ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union too.
