DEVELOPING SOCIAL PARTNERSHIP – A NEW OPPORTUNITY AND CHANCE FOR EMPLOYEES
UNIONIST EDUCATION IS ESSENTIAL FOR PROGRESS

The Meeting of the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Coordinating Committee of Belgrade Region was held on February 22 2008, and representatives from Jagodina were present at this meeting as guests. Besides solving current problems of employees on regional level, the Coordinating Committee discussed two very important topics: ‘’Supplementary Pension Insurance’’ and ‘’Developing Social Partnership’’ with the view of activating surplus manufacturing capacities, equipment and manpower. The Metal Workers of Belgrade Region did a lot in the area of education of trustee office representatives and membership on the whole in the first quarter of 2008 with previously treated subject on ‘’Stop Mobbing’’.

As to the presentation given by Mr. Goran Jelisavac of ‘’Garant Pension Insurance’’ and the one given by Dr Zoran Ristic of Education Center of UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, it must be noted that it has been worked out on a professional level. After each presentation there was enough time to answer all the questions asked, in order to eliminate and clarify the perplexity and confusion of the participants in the presentation.

At the end of the presentation, it was stressed by the regional trustee of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ for Belgrade why those topics were essential for our trade union, as well as employees on the whole.

We shall see the effect extent in the following period when this will be applied directly in companies.
