BEST WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR




Belgrade, December 31, 2006
Brothers and sisters! The need and desire that we turn to each other at the end of the calendar year and wish all the best for the religious and international holidays is a thing repeated every year. The MWBU “Nezavisnost” also feels such a need and begins from a wish, mostly present in each expressing of best wishes, and that is good health in 2007 to your families and everybody. We wish this to everyone, like-minded persons, as well as to those having different opinion.

It is important that all of us are healthy, because that is essential not only for our wishes to come true, but to realize all our ideas, define all jobs and tasks properly, to face and solve the problems that life and our union activity bring to us. When we are embraced by our dearest ones, let’s remember even those who made us trouble, let’s give a blessing and wish happiness to them too. Let our wishes to the family and children come true for other families in Serbia as well. Let the people’s saying come true: “Help God that my neighbor has everything he needs, and I will have too”. Remember that you are also someone’s neighbor and not only he/she to you.

We wish that all pre-election promises are kept and slogans of political parties realized in 2007 and that those who say this, if they will have the opportunity to rule, do not forget the same slogans: Long live Serbia! For better life! It depends on us! Skill before policy! It’s worth fighting for a cause! Decisively for Serbia! Let it be better already today! Serbia has the power! Because it must be better! Experience and energy!

We wish Serbian citizens to work on their New Year’s wishes, so that they come true in 2007. It’s nice to wish and hope, but Serbia needs much knowledge, enthusiasm, self-sacrifice and belief. The MWBU “Nezavisnost” wishes less unemployment, more work and members, less political and business scandals, suppressed corruption and crime, decent earnings and stable families. Let our sons and daughters marry and get married, and grandsons and granddaughters be born. Europe will be glad, because we are going to enter the European Union as honest, responsible and diligent people. Let our first neighbors from Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Macedonia go the same way together with us, cooperate mutually and show solidarity. Let’s think of each New Year’s wish in 2007 every day, that we don’t forget them and work every day so that these wishes come true. We believe that it will be so and that we won’t enter 2007 with drowsiness, but with plans and enthusiasm.

The New Year must be a new chance, new hope and new effort of all of us living in Serbia, therefore, we enter 2007 bravely, with optimism and belief.

The MWBU “Nezavisnost” wishes good health, work and prosperity to all citizens of Serbia in 2007. Long live!
