VI CONGRESS OF UBU “NEZAVISNOST” COMPLETED ITS WORK

NEW LEADERSHIP ELECTED




Belgrade, November 25, 2006
The delegates of the VI Congress of UBU “Nezavisnost” adopted the Union’s Program Declaration for the following period and elected a new leadership in Belgrade’s “Sava Centar”, on November 25, 2006. Branislav Canak has been re-elected President of UBU “Nezavisnost”, and Nebojsa Savic, Gordana Aleksic and dr Zoran Stoiljkovic Vice-Presidents, and Leading, Statutory and Auditing Committees have been also elected. The Leading Committee of UBU "Nezavisnost" appointed Slavoljub Lukovic as secretary of UBU "Nezavisnost".

The Program Declaration of UBU “Nezavisnost”, adopted by 278 delegates of the VI Congress, highlighted the most important issues to be considered by this Union in the following period. According to dr Zoran Stoiljkovic’s words, the basic problems are reflected in the fact that we are still a very poor society, with high percentage of unemployed, a society characterized by population decrease and distinct political instability. Also, unfavorable situation in the economy, namely, in the infrastructure, burdened with problems, brings about additional problems for us.

We, as a society, still spend more than we produce, and we have personnel drain, education isn’t in accordance with economic needs and interests, he said. He sees the way out from this situation, viewed from the aspect of program actions of UBU “Nezavisnost”, in carrying out five basic tasks: restructuring of an organization from large systems membership, towards membership in medium and small-size enterprises, rational, sustained and viable operation of branch unions, optimal decentralization concept, high-level servicing and highly skilled personnel, foreign and domestic affairs in the sphere of the media and relations with political structures.

Branislav Canak has been re-elected President of UBU “Nezavisnost” by ballot (secret vote), and Nebojsa Savic, Gordana Aleksic and dr Zoran Stoiljkovic as Vice-Presidents.

Kovac, Miladin Vasiljevic, Jasminka Maric, Ranko Hrnjaz, Tomislav Zivanovic, Dragisa Djomlija, dr Zoran Stoiljkovic, Zoran Pantelic, Stojanco Bozinovski, Dragan Vasic, Borivoje Despotovic, Milan Simic, Ruzica Radulovic, Violeta Gojkovic, Ljubisa Milivojevic, Zoran Ilic, Radislav Sakic, Milorad Gajic, Ranko Drljevic, Dragan Spahic, Dragoljub Petrovic, Aleksandar Titovic, Dragan Pantic, Snezana Makovic, Radojko Maksic, Zarko Skrbic, Ljubisa Djordjevic, Branislav Canak, Dragan Milovanovic - Pilac, Slavoljub Lukovic, Slavoljub Andjelic, Zoran Djuricic, Zivorad Pantic, Nebojsa Aleksic, Svetislav Beljinac, Stanislav Karasi, Dobrila Ilicic i Aleksandra Vitorovic.
