THE FIFTH ORDINARY SESSION OF WOMEN’S SECTION OF UBU “NEZAVISNOST”
NEW LEADERSHIP ELECTED
Belgrade, November 21, 2006
The Fifth Ordinary Session of Women’s Section of UBU “Nezavisnost” was held in Business Center “Lola” in Belgrade, on November 17, 2006. The Session was attended, besides the old leadership, by three delegates from the Women’s Section, a majority of women colleagues from Branch Unions, and eight women colleagues from the Branch Unions of the Media, Commerce, TKO, Sports and Culture.
All the presidents of “Nezavisnost” Branch Unions were invited to the Session, but only three of our colleagues accepted the invitation: Zoran Stoiljkovic, Vice-President of UBU “Nezavisnost”, Dragan Matic, President of MWBU “Nezavisnost”, and Despot Cukic, as the representative of GS HNER “Nezavisnost”.
The new Rules of Operation of Women’s Section were adopted at the Session and a new Coordinating Committee was elected. The new President of Women’s Section will be Dobrila Ilicic, already President of Women’s Section of the Branch Union of Chemistry, Non-Metals and Energy Sources. The new leadership was elected for a period of 4 years with the support of the majority of the Branch Women’s Sections. Three women representatives of MWBU “Nezavisnost” were elected for the new composition of the Coordinating Committee: Kosovka Gavrilovic, as member of the Presidency of the Women’s Section of UBU “Nezavisnost”, Vesna Malesev, as Secretary of the Women’s Section of UBU “Nezavisnost”, and Gordana Aleksic, as national coordinator of the Women’s Section of UBU “Nezavisnost. The former President of the Women’s Section, Leposava Zivanovic, was elected Vice-President of the Women’s Section.
