THE PROVINCIAL COMMITTEE OF UBU ‘’NEZAVISNOST’’ OF AP VOJVODINA WAS IN SESSION
PROGRAM CARRYING OUT AND PROFESSIONALISM
DIALOGUE SHOULD BE FOSTERED ALONG WITH THE ACTIVITIES

The Session of the Provincial Committee of UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ of AP Vojvodina was held in the premises of the Regional Trustee Office of UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ in Novi Sad. Sixteen men and women colleagues from 29 members of the Provincial Committee attended the Session. The priorities associated with the activities and work program carrying out were adopted at the session, especially stressing the necessity that the Provincial Committee should present itself to provincial authorities and establish closer cooperation with the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Vojvodina, which must be based on terms of equality. There is a need for unionist training of personnel from Vojvodina and professionalism is also necessary for the people working in the Provincial Committee of UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Vojvodina.
Mr. Slavko Vlaisavljevic informed all those present of the activities of the UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ bodies in connection with MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, and representatives of this trade union stated the viewpoint of the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Leading Committee and the reasons for which the exclusion of the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ President could not be accepted.
Also, Metal Workers protested, because of dismissal of Gordana Aleksic, Vice-President of UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, and Nebojsa Savic, Vice-President of UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, pointing out an ‘’open attack’’. It was suggested that the working party, composed of representatives of the UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Presidency and MWBU Presidency, should inform the UBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Leading Committee of its positions, as well as that the activities of calming down the situation that emerged, had to be continued with the observance of democratic procedures.
