Meeting of representatives of ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Union and President of the Managing Board of ‘’Azovimpex’’ was used for friendly talks and making an agreement on future cooperation
DIALOGUE ANYWAY
Belgrade, July 4 2008
All preliminary attempts of ‘’Nezavisnost’’ Trade Union of Railway Car Factory, Kraljevo to reach a satisfactory level of social dialogue between Trade Union and Management of the RCFK didn’t have any effect. In the conversation with Mr. Serev Budvak, the President of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, Dragan Matic, stressed several priorities by which the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ was guided in all the activities within the RCFK.
Firstly, relations within the Company must be based on respect of the trade union and observance of their rights and working conditions. The legal framework applicable in the Republic of Serbia must be the base, as well as full observance of the Sales Contract and Collective Agreement with the Employer. Any trade union activity must aim at Factory’s and employee interest, while responsibility for business performance must be assumed by managers.
The higher position, the greater responsibility
Employees must change their work habits, observe the Code of Business Conduct and Operations, and the dialogue must substitute mutual accusations and disrespect. The President of the Managing Board of ‘’Azovimpex’’, Mr. Budvak, pointed out many problems that were not solved prior to privatization and there was no word about them at all. A part of the problems has been solved. ‘’Azovimpex’’ invested considerable funds in the production and wages, and the envisaged plans have not been realized. New vacancies and reorganization have been announced in order to reach the output. Those present at the Meeting accepted the proposal that resolutions of the Meeting should be carried out in the next period.
