Session of the UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ Leading Committee (L.C.) resulted in scandalous decision on exclusion of Dragan Matic, President of MWBU ’’Nezavisnost’’, from membership

The reflections of Branislav Canak and members of UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ L.C. that they would feel better without the President of MWBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ – will turn out to be untrue. The UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ will neither be more efficient nor the organization coherency will be reached. A true and timely informing of MWBU ’’Nezavisnost’’membership will be continued though B. Canak stated recently that he would stop the printing and publishing of the newspaper METALPRES. We believe that it is difficult to live with metal workers consistency and adherence to principles, but it will be much more difficult for UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ to live without the MWBU ’’Nezavisnost’’.

Although Canak wanted to show that there was a conflict of personal nature, it turned out that there was a deep hatred toward MWBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ and the results it achieved until now. One thing is certain, namely, MWBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ Leading Committee will get a complete information on the UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ L.C. Session, take positions and state opinions of all the issues.

Although the Statutory Committee of MWBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ indicated clearly that in case there was a doubt about the violation of the UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ Statute, the UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ L.C. and not an individual, requested the opinion of the UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ Statutory Committee of that issue, the UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ L.C. considered such individual request and in the opinion of the UBU Statutory Committee, the UBU Leading Committee reached a decision, by a majority of votes, on excluding Dragan Matic from membership of UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’ although he has never been a member of UBU ’’Nezavisnost’’.
