An intense and productive period of MWBU activities began by closing the Session of the MWBU Leading Committee and accepting the amendments to the Statute, stated the president D. Matic at the beginning of the Session. The report presented the overall activities of the MWBU Leadership as on the domestic so also on international level, and the results achieved together with colleagues of the BU TLF were especially highlighted. The position taken regarding the Association and Employers Union of TLF Industry, as well as the Ministry of the Economy and Regional Development and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, will aim at indicating the current situation in the TLF Industry, and propose measures and actions that would make the position and future of TLF Industry employees more certain. It is important to note that all trustee offices of the BU TLF shall be visited by the end of the year and that we shall then have a more comprehensive view of the situation in the TLF Industry. Within the Report, the Youth and Women’s Section presented their report on the results achieved and activities performed, and after a discussion, the Report was unanimously adopted.
The Presidency reached an agreement on the activities in the regions with the view of expanding the network, education of organizers of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ and the BU TLF ‘’Nezavisnost’’, and we will especially commit ourselves to the companies Magnohrom, Zastava automobili, Prvi partizan, Gosa FOM, Cable Factory Zajecar and the cities of Valjevo, Subotica and Zrenjanin. Those responsible for the activities concerning network expanding and conducting a campaign will be the Youth Section of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’, and the Vice-President of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ M. Gujanicic will be in charge of coordination, work and results of future campaigns. The Presidency made a decision that all necessary activities should be carried out in order to verify the representation of MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ and the BU TLF ‘’Nezavisnost’’, and the information we have from the regions indicate that 27600 members that we presented on the occasion of determining the representation, is a number being much smaller than that we have at present and that in addition to bankruptcy procedures and social programs, the MWBU ‘’Nezavisnost’’ can count on over 33000 members already now.
The Presidency also adopted a schedule of activities both on the domestic and international level, as well as toward the system institutions, especially those dealing with privatization and legislative activities.
