JUSTICE FOR BIRTH GIVING WOMEN

The Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic enabled the approval of insurance period for women which were unemployed in the period from July 1, 1983 till May 31, 1992 and gave birth in the same period. They can exercise their right, namely, they have been approved the time period spent on maternity leave within the length of service although they were unemployed at that time. We present an application form in a more detailed text version. This right has been enabled in conformity with the following Laws ...

-Pension and Disability Insurance Law (‘’Official Gazette of the Rep. of Serbia, no. 13/83) – Article 80. ;
-Labor Law (‘’Official Gazette of the Rep. of Serbia, no. 56/81) – Article 89. – 210 days or 7 months, as from July 1, 1983;
-The Law on Amendments to the Labor Law (‘’Official Gazette of the Rep. of Serbia, no. 37/86) – Articles 19.and 95. – 270 days or 9 months, as from March 25, 1984, whereby it also pertains to birth giving women which started to realize that right according to former regulation, namely, birth giving women which were already beneficiaries;
-Labor Relations Law (‘’Official Gazette of the Rep. of Serbia, no. 45/91) – Article 53. – 540 days or 18 months, as from January 1, 1992. The right beneficiaries that have already exercised this right are entitled to 12 months period.
